National Eligibility Test - December, 2013 for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Assistant Professor.
Online application for UGC NET Dec 2013 session is begins from 19th this month. University of Grants Commission conducts National Eligibility Test on 29th December 2013 for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor both in Indian universities and colleges.
UGC NET exam will be conducted in 79 subjects. The candidates who qualify for the award of JRF are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor. Candidates should have passed Master's degree in any discipline with 55% (50% for SC/ST) of marks from any recognized university bu UGC. Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree final examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for UGC NET Test.
All candidates have to apply online. Application fee for general candidates: Rs 450/-. Other backward classes candidates: Rs 225/-. For SC/ST/PWD candidates: Rs 110/-. Last date to apply UGC NET online is on 30 Oct 2013. Last date of submission of fee through Online is 2nd Nov 2013. Last date for receiving the printout of application form is on 9th Nov 2013.
How to Apply UGC NET Online application?
The candidate, who seeking admission to the UGC-NET, December, 2013 must apply online through www.ugcnetonline.in. Last date of taking printout of Application Form, Attendance Slip and Admit Card from www.ugcnetonline.in November 05th 2013. Last date for receiving the printout of online Application Form (one copy) and Attendance Slip (one copy) at the respective Coordinating University opted by the candidate with fee receipt & category certificate is November 09th 2013.
Important instructions to apply for online application - NET December 2013
1. Please read Notification for NET.

2. Login by using your email id(you have provided earlier) and the password.
Help: If you have forgotten your concern password, click on "Forgot password? / Can't access your account? Click here" and act accordingly. Scan your passport (PP) size photograph in JPEG format. Make sure it should be 206 X 240 pixel dimension (w X h) and less than 300kb.
3. To apply for UGC NET, click on button - "Apply for NET". Provide required information and act accordingly.
Start the procedure to create login account by clicking on button - "Start procedure" and act accordingly.
Provide your personal and educational details to create your login account. Upload your photograph.
4. a) Do review your personal and educational details and proceed.
Hint: You may edit any detail(s), if required. b) Review your photograph and update, if required. To apply for UGC NET, click on button - "Apply for NET". Provide required information and act accordingly.
5. Act accordingly to proceed to apply for NET. Note the Reference Number and print your bank challan.
6. On next working day after auto generated Bank Challan, Total Amount fee) may be deposited at any/nearest branch of State Bank of India
7. Two days after the payment of fee, the candidate will be able to take the printout of online Application Form (one copy), Attendance Slip (one copy) and Admission Card (one copy) on separate A-4 size papers.
8. Attach the UGC copy of the bank challan (paid) with the printout of online Application Form & Attendance Slip and submit those to the Registrar/Principal of UGC-NET Coordinating University/College. SC/ST/PWD/OBC and other Candidates seeking age relaxation must enclose the relevant certificate also.
