All set to conduct Central Teachers Eligibility Entrance Test, we know as CTET for the first session 2014 on 16 February. The CBSE, New Delhi, is conducts CTET entrance test for recruitment of teachers for Class 1 to 8 in CBSE affiliated schools across the India. The CTET shall apply to schools under Central Government like KVS, NVS, Tibetan Schools, etc.
Get qualified in CTET is also must to the unaided private schools. Previously CBSE had conducted the CTET July 2013 Exam on 28 July and only 11% candidates has qualified in the exam out of 9 lakh candidates registered for the CTET exam.
CTET Eligibility Criteria
Minimum educational qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes 1 to 5 Primary Stage: Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education with at least 45%.
Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes 6 to 8 Elementary Stage: Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum educational qualification for eligibility to the candidates belonging to reserved categories.
CTET Feb 2014 schedule:
There will be 2 papers of CTET. Paper 1 will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes 1 to 5. Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes 6 to 8. Date of CTET Feb 2014 Exam is on 16 Feb 2014 Paper-II 9.30 AM to 12.00 PM and paper-I 2.00 PM to 4.30 PM.
How to register for CTET February 2014 entrance test?
The CTET online application has to be submitted by through CBSE official web site. Candidates have to provide all essential details while filling the CTET application form. Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated confirmation page of CTET online application after submission of data. Need to fix a passport size photograph and signature in the space provided, and also with the original CBSE copy of challan if fees paid through challan.
The completed application form along with challan should be sent to CBSE, CTET Unit in an envelope by registered post/Speed Post to CTET office. CTET application fee to General/OBC candidates for Paper 1 or Paper 2 is Rs 500 for both papers Rs 800/-. For SC/ST/PH candidates Paper 1 or Paper 2: Rs 250/- and for both papers Rs 400/-.
Patter of CTET Examination:
The CTET examination will be of objective type Multiple Choice Question and there will be no negative marking. A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes 1 to 5 and classes 6 to 8) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).
Last date for CTET online submission of application is 31st Oct 2013. Last date for receipt of CTET confirmation page is on or before 7th Nov 2013. CTET Feb 2014 will be conducted on 16 Feb 2014. Online application to CTET 2014
