ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR POSTAL ASSISTANT / SORTING ASSISTANT EXAMINATION 2014
Department of Posts has published Paper I (written test) result for recruitment to the post of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants for the year 2013-2014 for Jharkhand and Punjab circle.
Phase/ Paper I results for Haryana, Kerala, Karnataka, Uttarkhand, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan circle are also out. Candidates can check results in the below mentioned links:

Assistants/Sorting Assistants written exam was held on April 27, 2014 and May 4, 2014 for 8243 vacant posts.
Candidates for the above mentioned Postal Circles may check their status for Paper I by Logging into the website. Candidates, shortlisted to appear in the Paper II, may download the Admit Cards.
Schedule of Paper II (Computer Skill Test) for the following Postal Circles is as follows:
Jharkhand and Punjab: September 17 and 18, 2014
Rajasthan: September 16 to 24, 2014
Gujarat: September 13 to 19, 2014
Chhattisgarh: September 9 to 11, 2014
The Computer Skill Test will be for a duration of 30 minutes (15 minutes for typing and 15 minutes for data entry) consisting one passage of 450 words in English or 375 words in Hindi to be typed with a minimum speed of 30 words per minute or 25 words per minute respectively.
Test in Data entry will be of some figures and letters each carrying equal marks on computer. The above test will be conducted on Computer Key board and not on a typewriter. Further, the candidates have to secure prescribed qualifying marks in this test.
The marks will be based on speed, and accuracy. This is a combined test, and marks in both the components will be put together for qualifying.
