The exam is held in two stages: Mains and Advanced. The JEE Mains score provides admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes in NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions in India whereas the latter provides admissions to IITs. The candidates who qualify in JEE Mains 2014 and are in the Top-20 percentile of various state intermediate boards will be selected for JEE advanced.
