The COMEDK UGET results 2014 will most probably be declared on 30 May 2014, as indicated in the official notification. The COMEDK UGET was conducted on 11 May 2014 at 134 centres across the state of Karnataka.
The test was conducted for the admission to Medical, Dental and Engineering courses offered by respective college/institutes/universities in Karnataka for the academic session 2014-15. The number of seats available for Dental courses is 766, while that for Medicine and Engineering courses is 835 and 17, 698, respectively.
96, 100 candidates in total appeared for the COMEDK UGET 2014. Out of the total aspirants appeared in the test, 12, 570 candidates had written both Engineering and Medical examination, while 38, 295 candidates appeared for Engineering examination only and 45, 235 for Medical examination.
The Board for COMEDK UGET had released the answer keys for the 2014 test on 11 May 2014, and allowed the candidates to send their objections against answer keys, if any, till 14 May 2014 with a charge to Rs 300 per question.
Now, it’s time to wait for the COMEDK UGET 2014 results, which is going to be announced on 2 June 2014.
COMEDK is the “Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka”. On order to offer an effective, fair, transparent and non-exploitative testing procedure, the COMEDK conducts an Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) to determine the merit of students seeking admissions to the undergraduate courses in the Member Institutions of the Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation Trust (KPCF). There are 14 Medical, 25 Dental and more than 150 engineering colleges who make available almost 20,000 seats for admission.
COMEDK has been assigned the task of organizing a Common Entrance Test for the academic year 2014-2015. The COMEDK Entrance Test being considered as an exercise to shortlist an inter-se merit of candidates for grant of admission in a fair and transparent manner. The publication of test score and rank list will be followed by centralized counseling (Single window system) in so far as Member Institutions are concerned. The details will be published in due course on our website.
As stated above, COMEDK being an Agency to conduct entrance test followed by centralized counseling, all admissions in respect of candidates who have selected the seats would be at the level of colleges concerned. The admissions to be made by the colleges after receiving the final list of candidates will have to be approved by the Regulating Agencies like concerned Universities, etc., set up by the State Government.
COMEDK is only responsible to ensure fair and transparent evaluation of merit followed by single window counseling. Resolving the issues and grievances, if any, against the selection of seats is the responsibility of concerned the Regulatory Agencies and/or of colleges/institutions, which the candidates are allotted to.
