Union Public Service Commission will hold a competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Geologist, Geophysicist, Chemist and Junior Hydro geologist. UPSC will fill up the 265 vacancies on the basis of marks obtained in competitive Examination. Interested Candidates may apply online from 01st March, 2014 to 31st March, 2014 . Category II : Posts in the Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources
2. Geo-Scientist: 05 Posts
(i) Junior Hydro geologist (Scientist B) Group A: 05 Posts
Eligibility Criteria :
Age Limit :
1 For Geologist Post : Min age is 21 years and Max age is 32 years as on 01-08-2014 (born between 02-08-1982 to 01-08-1993).
2. For Geo-Scientist post : Min age is 21 years and Max age is 35 years (born between 02-08-1979 to 01-08-1993).
Educational Qualification :
1. For Geologist Post : Masters Degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology etc in relevant discipline from a recognized university.
2. For Geophysicist Posts : M.Sc in Physics or Applied Physics or M.Sc (Geophysics) etc in relevant discipline form a University.
3. For Chemist Posts : M.Sc in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from an University.
4. For Junior Hydro-geologist Posts : Masters Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from university.
Selection process : Selection will be based on written test, Interview /personality test.
Application Fee :
1. General/OBC candidates are required to pay Rs. 200/-.
2. Women/ SC/ ST/ PH candidates are not required to pay any fees.
Note : Fees is to be paid either through depositing money in any branch of SBI by cash or Net Banking of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ Mysore/ Patiala/ Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.
