About Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE)

Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) came into existence in the year 1976 under the Mizoram Board of School Education Act, 1975. MBSE is an autonomous body which not only contributes towards upgrading educational standards but also aims at introducing innovations in the field of School Education i.e. Class I to XII to impart quality education. Mizoram Board of School Education conducts public examination at the end of IV, VII, X and XII classes and also conducts proficiency certificate examination in vocational trades. For primary and middle school teachers MBSE also conducts examination related to Diploma in Teacher education. MBSE is well known for its constant reformations in examination and evaluation practices. MBSE organizes seminars and “in-service” training courses for teachers and other educational administrators to improve the teaching practice.
