Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management(GITAM), Deemed University Issued Admission Notification Gitam Admission Test (GAT)-2014 are scheduled to be held from April 17 to May 8, 2014 at 36 centres across the country. GAT 2014 for admission to the B Tech, B Pharmacy and M Tech programmes offered at GITAM University campuses in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bangalore. GITAM Admission Test 2014 test would be conducted for admission into 10 branches of B Tech and 13 specializations in M Tech. During the coming academic year, B Arch is also being introduced, he added. He also mentioned that while the biotechnology B Tech and M Tech courses are being offered at the Vizag campus, B Tech and M Tech courses in aeronautical engineering are available only at the Hyderabad campus. The remaining branches of B Tech and M Tech would be offered in all three campuses.

Applications can also be obtained by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address accompanied by DD for Rs. 1,100/- (Rs. 700/- for female candidates) drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank. Request for application by post will be accepted upto 21st March, 2014.

Applications are available throughout India in Union Bank of India, Indian Bank, Karur Vysya Bank 

The filled in application along with Demand Draft for Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. 600/- for female candidates), drawn in favor of GITAM UNIVERSITY, payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank, should reach Director-Admissions, GITAM University, Gandhi Nagar Campus, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam - 530 045, Andhra Pradesh, on or before 31st March, 2014. 

Exam Pattern:
GITAM Admission Test 2014 Admissions will be based on the marks scored by a candidate in GAT-2014. The duration of the test is two hours. The test consists of three sections and a total of 100 questions. Each correct answer will be awarded three marks while one mark will be deducted from the score for each wrong answer. The unanswered questions will receive nil marks. A candidate can choose his or her test centre and date and would know the score immediately after completing the test. The results would be announced on May 15, 2014. 

First rank holders of the central and all state board examinations in 2014, equivalent to 10+2, would be given admission to the programme of their choice, without appearing for the GAT examination subject to their fulfilling the eligibility criteria prescribed by the varsity. GAT-204 Applications can be downloaded from the GITAM University website http://www.gitam.edu/Admissions/aboutus.aspx, where the notification has been placed with complete details. The filled-in application form has to be sent to the varsity on or before March 31, 2014.
