JEE main, the Joint Entrance Examination main is the ultimate destination to the engineering education in India’s highest level of educational institutes. The total number of candidates is likely to appear JEE main 2014 is more than 14 lakh and states like Gujarat, Maharashtra and Odisha also joining the entrance exam for engineering colleges admissions.
The CBSE has announced the JEE main 2014 dates for the entrance exam for admission to NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical institutions and institutions under participating State. JEE main 2014 is also the preliminary one for the JEE advanced 2014, the entrance for the IITs. Top 1.5 lakh candidates of the JEE main qualifiers will be eligible for appear the JEE advance. JEE advance is the entrance test for the Indian Institutes of Technology, IIT-BHU and ISM Dhanbad Under graduate engineering admissions.
The JEE main 2014 online application process starts from November 15, 2013 and candidates can apply only through online via the JEE official website jeemain.nic.in. JEE main 2014 online application process will come to conclude on December 26, 2013. The JEE main 2014 exams will start on April 6, 2014. The JEE main 2014 exam will be conducted in both offline (pen-paper based) and online forms.
Who is eligible to appear JEE main 2014?
The candidates who have passed their class XII exam or 10+2 (Inter) or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2012 or 2013 and the candidates, who are appearing in their 10+2 or class XII exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2014 are eligible to appear JEE main 2014.
From this year the number of attempts which a candidate can avail at JEE main shall be limited to 3 only. JEE Main paper 1 is for candidates willing to admission in BE/ BTech courses. JEE main paper 2 for candidates of B Arch/ B Planning courses. Paper 2 Architecture exam will be conducted only on offline mode.
