The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi again issued notification to receive online application for Central Teacher Eligibility Test; we called as CTET for the 2013 July session. A candidate can apply for the CTET Test through online on the www.ctet.nic.in web portal.Who is eligible to CTET?
The candidate with Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) are eligible. Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility to the candidates belonging to reserved categories.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Structure and Content of CTET
All questions in CTET exam will be Multiple Choice Questions, each carrying one mark; there will be no negative marking. The medium of the question paper shall be either English or Hindi. Two papers of CTET:
Paper 1 will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes 1 to 5.
Paper 2 will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes 6 to 8.
CTET benefits:
TET is a minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in all Govt schools. The Candidates securing 60% and above marks will be issued CTET Eligibility Certificate. The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories.

The applicant may download their CTET 2013 admit cards from the CBSE website from 03 July 2013 onwards and appear for the CTET 2013 July examination.
