CARD implementation in 387 Sub-Registrar Offices in AP has brought a significant change in the process of Registration of immovable properties, apart from providing speedy services. In addition CARD has been successful in achieving the transparency of administration, particularly the valuation of properties and the duties there on. To keep transparency of Government information to Citizens, the registrations and stamps department took the initiative in making available some of the important information services on the WEB through www.igrs.ap.gov.in.
CARD Stands for Computer Aided Administration of Registration Department, this started in 1998. CARD Functions is Registration of Documents, Valuation of immovable Properties, Collection of Revenue, Stamp Duty, Transfer Duty and Registration Fee, Issue of Certified Copies of Documents, issue of Encumbrance certificates-EC, Registration of Societies, Firms, Chit Funds, Non-Trading Companies, Marriages.
