District Selection Committee (DSC) examination results will be released on Sunday afternoon by the Minister for Secondary Education K. Parthasarathy.
The DSC is conducted for recruitment of teachers in all government schools, including model schools. Along with DSC, results of TGT and PGT exams will also be released. The DSC notification was issued this year to fill up 21,343 posts across the State.
The test was conducted for 12,772 Secondary Grade Teachers, 6,007 School Assistants, 2,144 Language Pandits, 409 PETs among others.
Around 4.23 lakh candidates applied for the examination. The notification for recruitment will be issued soon after the release of results.
The Written Tests on May
10, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM for PGTs and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM for TGTs.
For Principal posts from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on May 11, 2012.
METHOD OF
SELECTION:
1. For the posts of
Principals the total marks shall be 100 (One Hundred), out of which 85% shall be
for the Written Test (Principals
Recruitment Test) and remaining 15% for oral
Interview.
2. For the posts of PGTs
the total marks shall be 100 (One Hundred) for Written
Test (PGTs Recruitment Test).
3. The total marks shall
be 100 (One Hundred), out of which 80% shall be for the
Written Test ((TGTs
Recruitment Test).) and remaining 20% for AP TET
(Paper II) or its equivalent score
for the posts of TGTs.
