About UGC NET 2014 : 

CSIR has conducted Joint University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (NET) twice in a year . CSIR NET is conducted to appoint the candidates on Junior Research Fellowship and to check the eligibility for Lectureship. 

Eligibility for UGC NET 2014 :

Age Limit :
1. For JRF (NET) posts : Candidates age should not exceed 28 years as on 01/01/2014.
2. For LS(NET) : Not Mentioned.

Educational Qualification :
1. For JRF post : Candidates should have done BS-4 years program/BE/B. Tech/B. Pharma/MBBS/ Integrated BS-MS/M.Sc. or Equivalent degree/BSc (Hons) or equivalent degree or students enrolled in integrated MS-Ph.D program with at least 55% marks for General & OBC (50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually handicapped candidates) .

Note : Candidates having bachelor’s degree, whether Science, engineering or any other discipline, will be eligible for fellowship only after getting registered/enrolled for Ph.D/integrated Ph.D. program within the validity period of two years.

2. For Lectureship (NET) : Candidates must possess Ph.D degree with qualified Master’s Degree before 19 September 1991, with minimum 50% Marks.

Examination Fee :
1. General Candidates are required to pay Rs. 400/-.
2. Other Backward Classes (OBC) Candidates need to Pay Rs. 200/-.
3. SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Visually Handicapped Candidates have to pay only Rs. 100/-.

How to Apply : Candidates seeking Admission to the Test (UGC-NET June 2014) must apply Online through a link www.ugcnetonline.in . After submission of online application, Candidates have to send hard copy of completely filled Online Application form along with Examination fee to the Address given below :

University Grants Commisssion (UGC) Conduct National Eligibility Test(NET) on December 30th, 2012. UGC twice a year holding for this Exam. This Exam Eligilibity for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship(JRF) and Eligibility for Lectureship Indian University and Colleges. UGC Conduct in 78 Subjects.

The result of the UGC NET to be held on 30th December, 2012 will be made available on the UGC websites www.ugc.ac.in and www.ugcnetonline.in as and when it is declared. The University Grants Commission announces holding of the National Eligibility Test (NET) on 30th December 2012 (SUNDAY) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Lectureship only or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Lectureship both in Indian universities and colleges. UGC will conduct NET in 78 subjects (listed under item no. 9) at 77 (Seventy Seven, including three new NET Coordinating Universities) selected NET Coordinating Universities (listed under Item no. 10) spread across the country.

Fee:
For General candidates, the examination fee is Rs. 450/-; for Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC available on website: www.ncbc.nic.in), the fee is Rs. 225/- and for SC/ST/PWD candidates, it is Rs. 110/-. The candidate is to fill the Bank Challan Form in triplicate (Bank Copy, UGC Copy & Candidate’s Copy) as given in the Notification. All the three copies of the Challan Form have to be submitted in any branch of State Bank of India along with the bank charges (commission) of Rs. 20/-.

The bank will retain its copy and return the other two copies of the challan to the candidate. The candidate has to attach the UGC copy of the challan with the printout of online Application Form which he/she has to submit to the Registrar/Principal of UGC-NET Coordinating University/College opted by the candidate.

The Results of UGC-NET 30th December will be made available on the UGC websites: www.ugc.ac.in and www.ugcnetonline.in as and when it is declared. The candidates will not be individually intimated about their result.
