State Bank of India has released notification for the recruitment of Probationay Officer ( PO ) posts of total vacancies of 1397 posts across India .

Important Dates for SBI PO exam 2014

- SBI PO Online application Date: 7th April, 2014.

- Last Date to Apply for SBI Po Exam : 24th April, 2014.

- Online Payment of Application fee : 7th April, 2014- 25th April, 2014

- Offline Payment of Application fee : 10th April, 2014 – 24th April, 2014.

- SBI PO Exam date : 8th June ( expected date )

Eligible Criteria

Education: Graduate ( Any Stream ). Final year may also apply for the post.

Age Criteria: The applicant must be in between 21 to 30 years of age. Relaxation of 5 years for SC and ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

General Caste : 757 vacancies.

SC & ST : 235 and 439 seats

OBC : 457 seats


SBI Bank PO Exam Syllabus and Marks Distribution

Objective Marks: 200

Descriptive Marks: 50

Candidates will have to appear for the objectives questions online ( 200 marks ). The online exam will be followed by descriptive test which the students have to appear offline ( 50 marks ).

Objective exam will be of 2 hours duration with 4 sections, carrying 50 marks each. Whereas, the time allotted for descriptive examination is 1 hour. Questions based on English would be asked. Candidates comprehension knowledge, short précis, essay and letter writing skill would be tested.

Application or Registration Fee

1. 500 INR for General and OBC Candidates.

2. 100 INR for SC/ST Candidates.

Eligibilty Criteria :

Educational Qualification : Contenders should have Degree in B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/CA/PG/M.Phil/Graduation in relevant discipline from any recognised University.

Age Limit : Contender's age should be between 21 yrs to  30 yrs.

Application Fee :
1. General and OBC Contenders need to pay Rs. 500/-.
2. SC/ST/PWD/XS Contenders need to pay Rs. 50/-.

Selection Process : Initially Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of Written Test and then Candidates will be called for personal Interview, and Selections will be done on the basis of personal Interview.

How to Apply : Candidates who are interested may Apply via Online mode from Official website of SBI Bank. Candidates are suggested to download their application form and payment receipt after Online submission for further use.

NOTE : Candidates can make payment of application formby two modes either Online or Offline.

For Online Payment :
Candidates need to select Online payment gateway link after filling online application form and then make payment using credit card/debit card/Internet banking. Candidates are suggested to keep the payment receipt for future record.
For Offline payment :
Candidates need to download the Challan form after onlineapplication form submission and then make payment from any branch of State Bank of India within 3 working days.
