Railway Recruitment Cell Sports Person notification for 52 posts

Central Railway invited applications for recruitment against Open Advertisement Sports Quota for the year 2014-15. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 7 October 2014.

The Central Railway is one of the largest of the 17 zones of Indian Railways. It covers a large part of the state of Maharashtra and small part of Southern Madhya Pradesh and North-Eastern Karnataka.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification
For Post with GP Rs. 2800/2400: Candidate should be minimum Graduate.
For Post with GP Rs. 2000/1900/1800: Candidate should be minimum 10th passed or equivalent qualification.

Age Limit
Candidate’s age should be between 18-25 years as on 1 January 2015.
No Age Relaxation in lower or upper age limits for any category of candidate.

Application Fee
Unreserved and OBC candidates need to pay application fee of Rs.100/- in the form of Indian Postal Order (IPO) drawn in favour of – APO (RT), Central Railway Mumbai & Payable at Mumbai.
SC/ST/EXSM/PWD /Women /Minority candidates/Economically Backward Classes are exempted from payment of fee.

Selection Procedure

Selection of candidates shall be made on the basis of field trial, assessment of sports achievement, educational qualification and interview.

How to Apply
Eligible candidates can apply through prescribed application format as given in the notification.
Application Form, duly complete in all respect along with passport size photograph, attested copies of certificates in proof of educational qualification, proof of date of birth, proof of sports achievements, latest community certificate and DD should be submitted to the Assistant Personnel Officer (RT), Chief Personnel Officer’s Office, General Manager’s building, 1st floor, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai-400 001 before 7 October 2014.

Candidates should mention “Application against sports quota (Open Advertisement) recruitment for the year 2014-15” on the envelope in which the form would be sent.

Moradabad Division, Northern Railway invites applications only from male sports persons for recruitment on 02 posts of Khallasi TRD (Elect.) in Group ‘D’ Pay Band 1 (Rs.5200-20200) Grade Pay Rs.1800 against Sports Quota (Open advertisement) for the year 2012-13.

Applications on prescribed performa along with attested photocopies of documents regarding educational qualification, Date of birth, Caste, Sports Activities etc. should reach to Sr. Divisional Sports Officer, DRM’S Office, Northern Railway, Moradabad by any postal mode ON or BEFORE 17:00 hrs. on 21.01.13. Eligibility and Qualification:
Male Candidates having under mentioned qualifications and eligibility shall only be considered for appointment to these posts:
1.The candidate should not be above the age of 25 years and below 18 years as on 01.01.13.
2.The candidates should have passed a minimum of Class 10th or equivalent from any recognized institution.

Minimum norms in Sports achievements:
1.Represented the Country in any of the following Championships/events:-
Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category)
Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category)
South Asian Federation (SAF) games (Senior Category)
USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior Category) OR
2.At least 3rd Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category) OR
3.Represented a State of equivalent Unit, except in Marathon and Cross Country, in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships
OR
4.At least 3rd Position in Senior State Championships for all Units and Districts of the State.

Period for reckoning Sports Achievements:
1.Sports achievements on or after 01.04.10 shall only be considered for recruitment.

Recruitment Procedure:
Those candidates, who found eligible as per conditions above, shall be required to under-go Field Trial at the Railway Stadium Moradabad. Field Trial will be held on 21.02.13 (Tentatively) for which call letters will be sent separately.

Interview will be held on the same day or next day of the trial. The candidates found suitable in the field trial and interview will be selected on the basis of merit.

Application form to be accompanies with a Bank Draft/Demand Draft/Postal Order valuing `40 in favour of Sr. Divisional Sports Officer, Northern Railway, Moradabad.

The candidates belong to SC/ST categories are exempted from sending Bank Draft/Demand Draft/Postal Order.
