Eligibility criteria :
Age Limit : Candidates age should be below 35 yrs as on 31-01-2013. Age Relaxation will be extended as per govt norms.

Educational Qualification : Candidates should be IV/ VIII/ SSLC/ 
Diploma/ Degree/ B.Com/ M.Com/ ITI (NTC) in relevant trade and
 National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) with desired experience as per the post.

Cochin University of Science and Technology ( CUSAT) will notify 90 teaching posts for assistant professors. 

The university to renew its accreditation, after permanent recruitment of 100-odd assistant professors take place. "Within a month, recruitment of permanent faculty will happen in the university and then we will apply for accreditation. 

The university syndicate has decided to fill the vacant permanent faculty posts in the university. "There has been no recruitment in the last few years. But now we will be filing 90 teaching posts, of which 40 posts will be re-notified," said university registrar A Ramachandran. 

The last recruitment to permanent posts was done in 2006. There has been no other major recruitment for permanent posts in the 24 departments of the university in the last eight years. 

In 2008-2009, a notification was issued inviting applications for permanent teaching posts in the university. However, it has been kept in abeyance. As a result, the university employs faculty on an ad hoc basis for six months or a year.
